How To Use The MyBrand Mobile App

Control and connect with your vehicle right from your smartphone using the myBrand mobile app.

The myBrand mobile app is like having your vehicle at your fingertips. With just a few taps, you can start, lock, or unlock your car, check important details like fuel level, EV range, or tire pressure, and even schedule service when it’s convenient. 

 

It’s all about making ownership simpler—giving you the confidence that you’re always connected, in control, and ready for the road ahead.

Getting Started

  1. Download the app from the Apple App Store® or Google Play™.
  2. Sign in using the same email and password linked to your GM or OnStar® account.
  3. Verify your identity with multi-factor authentication (for new users or updated apps).

Tip: Always keep the app updated to access the latest features.

Using the Home Screen

Your app’s home screen keeps you connected to key vehicle info and services.

 

  • My Vehicle: Quick access to vehicle status, EV charge info, and essential remote commands.
  • Controls: More remote commands and customizable settings.
  • Help Center: How Things work, get Roadside Assistance, or contact OnStar®.

 

You can switch between multiple vehicles or add a new one through the Account menu.

Remote Commands

If your vehicle and plan support them, you’ll see remote commands like start/stop, lock/unlock, or horn/lights.

 

  • Press and hold a command icon to activate.
  • For more options, open the Controls tab or select View More.

EV Features (For EV models only)

  • Check your charge status from the My Vehicle tab.
  • Use the Map icon in the footer to locate charging stations and plan routes.

Service

Click the Service icon in the footer to get all necessary service related info such as Schedule a Service, Reminders etc.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • If your vehicle doesn’t appear, log out and back in, or press the blue OnStar button for Advisor support.
  • If the app is slow or crashes, try restarting your phone, reinstalling the app, or clearing your phone’s cache.
  • To add or remove a vehicle, go to Account > Manage My Products and follow the prompts.
