Does OnStar track me?
OnStar is a brand built on safety and security to offer peace of mind to our customers. We take our customer’s privacy very seriously. 

We do not track your location or whereabouts. Only when you need our services and press the blue button, if your privacy setting is not enabled, your location details will be available to us to help you. In the event of a crash or a red button press for emergency, the privacy setting even if on is overridden so we can get you the right help, even if you are unable to make a call yourself.

How do I enable my privacy setting?
Simply press the White privacy button (to the left of the Blue button) down for 5 seconds to enable the privacy mode. Once enabled, you will notice in your in-head unit an icon that indicates no signal.

Just to let you know, when privacy mode is enabled, you will be unable to view your own vehicle location on the myBrand App and if you press the blue button to request for Destination Download, our Advisor will be unable to assist. They may request you to disable the privacy option to be able to assist depending on your request.
